Maserati has christened its upcoming electric lineup with the name “Folgore,†which translates to “lightning†in Italian, emphasizing the electric vehicles’ lightning-fast speeds. The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore boasts a staggering power output of over 1,200 horsepower derived from three electric motors. This immense power enables the sports coupe to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds and achieve a top speed of 305 km/h. The model will also feature a convertible Spyder/GranCabrio version. There are rumors that a twin-turbocharged Nettuno V6 engine producing 621 horsepower might be offered as well. Design-wise, the GranTurismo Folgore maintains the iconic GT silhouette, featuring an elongated front end, a smoothly flowing roofline, and a relatively short rear.
